Take From Me
VIRGINIA-MADE
Set in the shadows of the Appalachian Mountains, the story follows a broken man named John, several years after the tragic death of his son.
Pre-production began in October of 2022 and in the spring of 2023 we spent 13 grueling days on location in VA. After a dedicated 2024 in post-production Take From Me hit the festival circuit before landing a distribution deal with Bayview Entertainment.
Take From Me was an Official Selection at the Orlando Film Festival, Columbia Film Festival, and Mountain Craft Film Festival. It won Best Picture at the Red Rose Film Festival in Lancaster, PA, Audience Award at the Alexandria Film Festival in VA, and Best Lead Actor for Ethan McDowell at the Romford Horror Film Festival in the UK.
All locations are sourced within the commonwealth of Virginia. Production has worked closely with local communities in Warrenton, Fairfax, Marshall and Front Royal VA. Produced by your own Cory Mason, Take From Me (previously titled Love Dogs) is a Virginia made feature film that will highlight the beauty of the commonwealth's majestic landscape.
